Information we collect
When you use Keep Watch, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, account settings, church memberships, prayer vigil participation and notification preferences.
When you create or participate in a vigil, information you choose to provide may include prayer requests, prayer focus, updates, words of support and other content associated with that vigil.
Prayer content and privacy
Keep Watch allows vigil organisers to choose whether a vigil is public, unlisted or private.
- Public vigils may appear in public areas of Keep Watch and may be viewed by others.
- Unlisted vigils do not appear in public discovery but may be accessed by someone who has the direct link.
- Private vigils are restricted to authorised participants.
Please consider carefully what personal information you include in a prayer request, particularly information concerning another person.
How we use information
We use information to operate Keep Watch and provide features such as prayer vigils, Prayer Watch scheduling, church communities, invitations, notifications, reminders and account administration.
Information may also be used to protect the platform, investigate reports, prevent abuse and improve the reliability and usability of Keep Watch.
Email and notifications
If enabled, Keep Watch may send notifications relating to prayer vigils, Prayer Watch times, invitations, church activity or other account activity.
Notification preferences can be changed from your account settings.
Sharing of information
We do not intend to sell personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers required to operate Keep Watch, such as hosting, email delivery and technical infrastructure providers.
Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or respond to serious misuse of the platform.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect account and platform information. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and for choosing appropriate privacy settings when creating vigils.
